With over 2,000 books at any given time, our used books range from modern to 17th century and cover all matter of subjects and genres. We specialize in signed books, science fiction, science (especially astronomy), and 18th and 19th century books, but have books for just about everyone in all fields from Romance to Children's Literature. We also have ephemera, framed prints and signed items.

We are open the First Saturday (10am - 6pm) and Sunday (12pm - 5pm) of each month, or by appointment

Directions: We believe all great bookstores should be a little hard to find. But to aid you in your quest for amazing books, here are the directions once you arrive:

This is an opportunity for anyone who wishes to contribute items to the sale. Please note that textbooks, manuals, magazines, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, and damaged items will not be accepted.
  • The Book Sale is a vital community event and the primary fundraiser for the Summit College Club Foundation each year. Proceeds are used to provide college scholarships to deserving young women from local high schools who will be attending a 4-year college, and to women returning to a local community college after a break in their education. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded hundreds of scholarships totaling over $1 million, reinvesting those funds in the community..

    • This is a well-organized sale with all items sorted into categories. Our books are stored on shelves (not in boxes) in our 4,000 square-foot shopping area and are categorized into fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi/horror, teen literature and childrens'. Fiction is alphabetized by author. Non-fiction is categorized by subject.
    • The DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, and sheet music are also sorted into categories.
    • Our selection is continually refreshed after every sale.
    • With over 30,000 books and thousands of additional items for sale spread across all three floors of the library, there's something for everyone.
    • Signs throughout the library will guide you to the correct floor, and our friendly volunteers are always available to help.
    • Cash, check, and some electronic payments (credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo) accepted. Minimum of $10 purchase for electronic payments.
    • To alleviate crowding during the busiest hours of the sale, and to provide a safe and pleasant experience to all our shoppers, pleae be mindful of the following guidelines:
      • No wheeled vehicles permitted in the basement other than occupied strollers, wheelchairs, or book sale-owned bins and carts.
      • No large bags or boxes will be permitted in the aisles and no bags, boxes or books on the floor.
      • On Saturday, there is a designated holding area for large bags and boxes. During the sale, there are shelves in the basement to store selected items that can no longer be carried by hand. 
      • Please note that these areas are for items selected for purchase, not sorting areas. ITEMS TAKEN TO THE HOLDING AREAS ARE CONSIDERED PURCHASED AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THEM.

      • *11 AM— Lake Angela, former Poet Laureate of Bucks County, will serve as the featured reader, followed by poets Tricia Coscia, Steve Nolan, Robbin Farr, and Kevin Richard Kaiser.
      • *1 PM—James Mustich, Jr., author of 1000 Books to Read Before You Die, will moderate a "Battle of the Books" panel where five book lovers, including librarians from The Free Library of New Hope and Solebury and The Bucks County Free Library, will make the case for titles they think Jim should have included but didn’t.
      • *3 PM—Hayden Saunier, past Poet Laureate of Bucks County will be featured reader followed by Jane E. Mohler, Kevin Martin Taylor and two other local poets.
    • Preview: Readers will have an opportunity for an early look at the book selection for the fair at the
