CASTLE BOOK and TEA Welcomes you to our Hole-in-the-Wall Bookstore!

With over 2,000 books at any given time, our used books range from modern to 17th century and cover all matter of subjects and genres. We specialize in signed books, science fiction, science (especially astronomy), and 18th and 19th century books, but have books for just about everyone in all fields from Romance to Children's Literature. We also have ephemera, framed prints and signed items.

We are open the First Saturday (10am - 6pm) and Sunday (12pm - 5pm) of each month, or by appointment

Directions: We believe all great bookstores should be a little hard to find. But to aid you in your quest for amazing books, here are the directions once you arrive:

  • Enter the side entrance on Monroe St
  • Take either the stairs or the elevator to the 2nd floor

  • Buy Bookstore Bucks in the Lower Level Main Bookstore -- Bookstore Bucks are a great gift idea for those times when you want to let family and friends choose their own books $1 each, or 5 for $4

  • *On the final day of the sale, Sunday, April 19th, shoppers can purchase an entire bag of books for just $5 or $10, depending on the bag size.
  • Donations of books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and LPs in good condition will be accepted at American Legion Post #433 from Friday, April 10th, through Monday, April 13th, from 9 am to 7 pm. This is an opportunity for anyone who wishes to contribute items to the sale. Please note that textbooks, manuals, magazines, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, and damaged items will not be accepted.
  • The Book Sale is a vital community event and the primary fundraiser for the Summit College Club Foundation each year. Proceeds are used to provide college scholarships to deserving young women from local high schools who will be attending a 4-year college, and to women returning to a local community college after a break in their education. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded hundreds of scholarships totaling over $1 million, reinvesting those funds in the community..
